Middleweight Interior Designer - Vacancy

We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Middleweight Interior Designer to join our team.

This is a full-time position, working from our Studio near Shad Thames in London 3 days per week and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities:

This is an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified Interior Designer with proven experience and design sensibility. The ideal candidate will be passionate, creative and comfortable working both alone and as part of a small team. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Assist in designing and managing projects in association with Senior Designers and management or act as a standalone design lead on projects.

  • Work on interior projects of varying scale, from new build to refurbishments, in the hospitality and workplace sectors, both nationally and internationally.

  • Contribute to all project phases, from concept to completion

  • Lead and participate in client meetings, producing presentations and materials for client review and feedback and ensuring project goals, budgets and objectives are met.

  • Produce drawings and documents in AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office with 3D sketches and rendering in Sketch Up. Experience in Revit will be beneficial for future development of projects and design team.

  • Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, artisan manufacturers and regulatory agencies to meet project objectives.

  • Specify and prepare detailed schedules such as FF&E, ironmongery, sanitaryware, finishes, joinery, etc.

  • Collaborate with Senior Designers and Associates to produce detailed designs and package production information.

  • Attend site visits when required both in the UK and abroad.

 

Requirements:

  • An honours degree in Interior Design or Architecture is a necessity.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a reputable interior design firm.

  • Expert-level proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign). Revit would also be an advantage.

  • Proven track record of successfully completing hospitality and commercial workplace projects, evidenced by a diverse portfolio of successful projects across all stages.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of BS standards, health and safety regulations and industry requirements for performance.

  • Passion for creating high-end, functional interiors with a strong attention to detail.
