The Lantern
75 Hampstead Road, London
Forme UK worked in close collaboration with Marks Barfield on the design of the reception lobby and café, and the interior design of the residences within the building.
Having initially advised on the reconfiguring of the lobby, Forme UK developed various concepts for the space creating views through to the central atrium of the building and explored decorative pendants as a major feature of the space, liaising with some of the UK and Europe’s best manufacturers to develop concept ideas for us.
The approved design for the space was a collaborative effort between Marks Barfield Architects and our team at Forme UK. The feature light fitting was developed by Andromeda who incorporated exquisite individual pieces of Murano glass, expertly crafted into beautiful shapes that create a captivating visual display. These pieces appear to gracefully dance across the ceiling of the lobby and descend down the reception wall. The shapes of the pendant feature were specifically designed to mirror the external lantern shape, originally designed by Marks Barfield Architects .
Forme UK also designed the adjacent serviced apartments residences to the building.
